Title: A not too chaotic day
Author: Leonie
Ahoy my fellow rats of the land, you will never guess where we’re currently at: Still in the middle of the ocean! 😀
Starting the day I was rudely interrupted from my dreamy slumber with the most heartwarming news of all (which I get every two days). “You’ve got class today” Huzzah! After not having slept in a hammock or being woken up in the dead of night, for the first time in forever, I actually got a decent amount of actual sleep.
So with a tad too much energy I made my way to breakfast and later on the History class. From then on I was newly named “Little John” from the 15th Century who talked about life on Sail Ships back then – let’s just say that I am happy on the Roald in our time. After class my enthusiasm traveled into the galley to see how things were going aka eating their food and singing the wrong lyrics.
At 12:30pm I was an official part of the galley, why I started earlier, is way beyond me. This I realised was a bad Idea when I broke my record on crash outs throughout the day.
Not even an hour into it Linn and I were on the floor training our abs making a laughing stock of ourselves. The Tomato soup swept over the entire kitchen floor and instead of crashing out we were laughing a little too hard. But in the end we got a hold of the galley and everything turned out perfectly well. Unfortunately though, we missed out on a water fight and we had do the dishes during that time. On top of that we almost died from the abominable heat. It had started raining outside which is why we closed all windows and one of the big doors. In a very short time it got so stuffy our foreheads were dripping like the Victorian Waterfalls. I didn’t plan on showering that night.
Oh well, plans change.
I’m sure you’ll understand my complete contempt when I was finally finished in the galley. I don’t think I have ever scrubbed a floor so clean. Last but most definitely not least I went for my long awaited shower. You see I have this trick. Now that it’s getting so hot I haven’t been able to sleep very well (I’d rather not have a salty pool in my bed there’s enough of that outside). So I would either sleep in a Hammock (not allowed today) or shower and sit outside and freeze to close death and then go to bed and enjoy the warmth of my comforter and sheets. This is now my next stop, so if you’ll excuse me, I’m heading to bed. Goodnighty.

Alles Liebe Friedrich
Toppsi Lotta: Moin, mir geht’s gut.
