After waking up to “Schnappi das kleine Krokodil” blasting through our cabins at 7:00 am we had to hurry because after the breakfast we had something exciting planned for today: after the morningly all-hands call and deep-clean we would go on a trip to the Cies islands!
We were all pretty hyped for the upcoming trip since the day Deli announced it so we made sure to clean fast and then gathered on deck together with our stuff. To be honest- the weather was pretty bad so some of us questioned whether or not to pack our swimming clothes but we did so anyway. The short cruise to the islands was nothing special, and when we arrived we sorted ourselves into two big groups (each group had a tour guide to explore the island). We had two options for the upcoming hike: 1. a 40min hike to a lookout platform or
2. a 1 1/2h walk to the lighthouse on top of the island.
Of course we chose the lighthouse (more or less motivated ) and then went on our way. Our tour guides did an amazing job in explaining the nature and history of the islands and its background (for example how it became a national park and so on…). After 1 1/2 hours we finally arrived at the lighthouse and the view was so worth it!
After a quick lunch break (and amazing cookies from Marc) we made our way back down and went to “carmen beach” where we swam and played volleyball for about an hour. Before leaving the island, our teachers did a short workshop with us, where we learned about personal space and boundaries- I think we all learned that boundaries are different for each and everyone and we have to respect that. Right now we are cruising back to the Roald and are happy because of the dinner and the upcoming football match (FCB vs FC).
We hope that the days we have left in vigo will be as beautiful and funny as this day- so in that note: goodnight from Vigo
Greetings, Milena and Mila
