Title: Hello Fort de France
Author: Mateo
Today we started the day with a jump in the water at 6:45 am.
After that we had an All Hands on Deck. We outpacked all the sails. I outpacked the Vorbram.
At 8:00 o’clock we took the anchor out of the water. We sailed roughly 4 hours around Martinique to the city Fort de France. But before we anchored, we did three Halsen.
It was very hard because normally you do something like that whith only one watch but it was an All Hands so all the watches helped. That’s a manoeuvre where you go with the back of the ship through the wind to change the course.
After the three Halsen we drove another hour until we arrived at our anchoring-spot. We can also see the other ship from Ocean College, the Johnny. After we’ve let down the anchor, we had to pack the sails again. At this point it was 4 pm.
When we were finished at 5 pm, we could go swim and also jump from the Klüverbaum. It was a lot of fun. At 6:30 pm we had dinner.
Afterwords we had to clean our cabins, which means that we had to put all our baggage out of the cabin and clean everything under the beds. And then we had to put it all back: but neatly.
Finally I also had night watch with Deli and Julius.
