Yes, all these tasks outside the ship’s office are carried out by volunteers. What we are proud of is not only the fact that nearly a third of our first 250 members are still part of the organization, but also that the majority of our work – both at sea and on land – is done by volunteers. This includes the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the ROALD AMUNDSEN sailing, even though you don’t see it on the open seas. However, this also means that replies to emails might not be immediate, as the onshore team may only respond when they have the time. If the contact person happens to be on board, it may take until the next port. Thank you for your understanding!
